As nothing much seems to happen in the blogosphere on a Sunday, but I still like to post every day, I'm going to start myself another little topical day! On a Sunday from now on I will be living my life through lyrics...sort of!
Sunday is always a bit of a nothing day, with the dread of working creeping over and the depressing duties of making sure I have work-suitable clothes clean and pressed, tidying and cleaning to be done, I ALWAYS ensure I have some great music to accompany the day!
This was scuppered a little when YouTube blocked access to premium music videos all because they couldn't reach an agreement with PRS. My opinion on this would be the same as many other music fans and contain a lot of bad language!!! Seriously YouTube. Pull yourself together!
Anyway, this has meant I've been delving into the archives of my Ipod / Itunes - which contains 6,528 tracks! Some classic, some horrendous, some mementos and a lot of funk! I'm a music junkie! I'd love to compile a soundtrack to my life - but there are way too many songs!
BTW, I cannot sing for anything! I can hum a decent tune and will quite happily belt out Elton's Benny and the Jets if I'm alone and I know the neighbours are out...but other than that all you will get from me is humming - and everyone seems to get this. Apparently it means I'm happy (I think I just pretend well)...I digress!
Anyway, I just thought I'd tell you a few of the little gems I have just discovered in a really dark cave-like place on my Ipod....hell yeah! I feel I need to get in the car and blast them out so everyone can hear them!

7. Basement Jaxx - Oh My Gosh
8. Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

I just discovered Youth Group's version of "Forever Young". I heard it on a TV show. It's fantastic.
Wow, I didn't think anyone would know it! It's been my favourite song since I was about 14 or 15 (on a school trip to Italy) and then Youth Group did it in about 2005 or 2006 and it's been on repeat on my Ipod ever since!! x
I like how you slip hiphop and r&b here and there. :)
Awesome list!!!!!! Forever young is a must-listen! :D
Good gosh so now I have to add download songs to my list of things to do, nice.
@ IL - I go through phases of what I like to listen to (i.e. I abuse songs until I can't stand them and they disappear for years!!) but have had many R&B / Hip Hop phases!!
@ Thrice - Thanks! I'm amazed at the Forever Young love!! There are hundreds of covers and remixes of it and I am quite partial to the dance one (yep, completely different to Youth Group). x
@ PJ - don't act like you're all busy and stuff! We know you just sit waiting for new blog posts all day! Hehe x
