A Forever Sexy Sunday

So I survived the sucky Sunday, just about anyway and there is still a few hours of it to go so anything could happen. I relented! I gave up on Chasing Harry Winston (I read the first 3 pages and just couldn't concentrate). I picked up Forever this afternoon out of desperation for a bit of Sunday excitement! Haha, I'm so predictable!

I love it!

If you haven't read it...THEN WHY THE HELL NOT??? You can't say you've never heard of because I've posted about it before!

I'll give you the synopsis and then I expect you to go an buy it (well, you don't have to, but it is excellent!)...

You would never guess it but Forever was written in 1975! It was subject to a lot of controversy, as Judy Blume is a children's writer and this book (aimed at teenagers) was a little risque for it's time. Forever was also banned by numerous schools in the US and UK...ridiculous!

Ok if you're going to read this book read this plot summary, if you're not going to read it read plot summary #2!!

Plot Summary #1: A story of first love that you expect to last forever...until you meet someone else and your whole world is turned upside down!

Plot Summary #2: Katherine and Michael meet at a party during their senior year of high school. Katherine is a virgin but Michael isn't. Sex becomes a massive topic early on in their blossoming (I can't believe I just said "blossoming") relationship and once they have sex they believe this has "sealed the deal", so to speak, and that this will make their love last forever. Everything goes well until they have to separate for summer jobs taking them to different states. Slutty little Katherine (I think she must've been my role model on some subliminal level at 14) falls in lust with Theo, a fellow summer worker, and ditches poor poor Michael (haha), this inevitably leads to the break-up. It's a great coming-of-age story and I love it!
BY THE WAY if you haven't seen my last couple of posts, check them out HERE and HERE, because it’s super and uber cool and the bestest thing ever and you need to join in. It’s my 100% excellent recession busting plan (that, like I’ve said before, I cannot believe the government have never thought of. They’ll catch on soon though – like they did with my idea to print more money!). JOIN IN (or I’ll tell you how much you suck. Well I wont, but I’ll say I did!).

I read plot summary one and didn't cheat and read the second one. That's a big deal to me. I'm going to pick this sucker up at the library tomorrow.
Sucky sundays over, Marvelous Mondays on its way!

@CA I think CHW is probably good, I'm definitely a Lauren Weisberger fan, but I just wasn't feeling it at the time. Need some proper quiet time to get that book under my belt!! x

@JPP Go you!! I'm so impatient that there's no way I wouldn't have read both plots and then read the book!! I ruin TV for myself quite often on epguides.com and then have serious regret afterwards! Hehe. x
